Support When Growing Up Feels Like Too Much

I offer in-person teen therapy in Concord, MA to help adolescents manage anxiety, navigate relationships, and figure out who they are — without having to do it alone.

Your Teen Isn't "Fine" — They're Just Really Good at Hiding It

Adolescence doesn't always look like a crisis. Sometimes it just looks like a teenager who's slowly pulling away.

Spending more time alone — and getting irritable when you try to connect

Saying "I'm fine" when they're clearly not

Struggling at school even though you know how capable they are

Overwhelmed by social pressure, friendships, or the future

Wondering where they fit in — with friends, in the family, in the world

Teens often suffer in silence because they don't want to be a burden — or because they don't think anyone will really understand. Therapy gives them somewhere to be honest.

How Adolescent Therapy Can Help

Teen therapy isn't about telling your adolescent what to do. It's about giving them the space to figure out what they think, feel, and need — with support.

We may work on:

Understanding and managing anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

Building confidence and a stronger sense of identity

Navigating friendships, conflict, and social pressure

Processing family changes, loss, or difficult experiences

Developing emotional regulation tools that actually fit their life

The goal isn't a teenager who never struggles. It's one who knows how to handle it when they do.

who is this for

Adolescent Therapy May Be a Good Fit If Your Teen Is:

Ages 13–17 dealing with anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm

Struggling socially — with friendships, peer pressure, or feeling like they don't fit in

Going through something hard — a breakup, a loss, a family change

High-functioning on the outside but privately exhausted

Looking for a space that's entirely theirs — not shared with parents

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many teens start when they realize they're tired of white-knuckling through everything alone.

Adolescent Therapy in Massachusetts — In Person

Sessions are held in-person at our Concord, MA office. Many teens find that having a dedicated physical space outside the home — somewhere that's just theirs — makes it easier to open up.

my approach

A Compassionate, Collaborative Approach to Teen Therapy

My approach to adolescent therapy is collaborative and teen-led. I'm not here to lecture or report back to parents — I'm here to support your teenager.

Therapy is a space to:

Say the things they can't say at home

Understand what's driving their anxiety, mood, or behavior

Build real coping tools — not just "take deep breaths"

Figure out who they are, separate from everyone's expectations

Adolescent Therapy FAQs

Is teen therapy confidential?

Yes — what your teen shares in therapy is private. I may need to communicate with parents in specific safety situations, and I'll always be transparent with your teen about what that looks like before we begin.

Do you offer in-person teen therapy in Massachusetts?

Yes. All sessions are held in-person at my Concord, MA office.

How long does adolescent therapy take?

It depends on what your teen is working through. We'll check in regularly and adjust the plan as things shift.

Will you tell my parents what we talk about?

Not without your teen's knowledge and agreement — except in situations involving safety. I'll explain this clearly in our first session so everyone knows what to expect.
