You're Doing Everything Right — and Still Feeling Lost

Parenting a child who is struggling is one of the most exhausting, heart-wrenching things there is.

You've read the books, tried the strategies, and nothing seems to stick

You're not sure if you're being too strict, too lenient, or both at the same time

You feel disconnected from your child and don't know how to reach them

You're worried about getting it wrong in a way that affects them long-term

You're running on empty — but your child still needs you to show up

Parent consultation isn't about being told what you did wrong. It's about getting support so you can be the parent your child needs without burning out in the process.

How Parent Consultation Can Help

Parent consultation sessions give you dedicated time and space to talk about your child — what you're seeing, what you've tried, and what you need. No judgment. No pressure.

We may work on:

Understanding your child's behavior through a developmental lens

Learning communication strategies that reduce conflict and build connection

Navigating specific challenges — school refusal, sibling dynamics, screen time

Processing your own stress, worry, and emotional responses

Coordinating with your child's therapist for a unified approach

The goal is a family that feels more connected — and a parent who feels less alone.

who is this for

Parent Consultation May Be a Good Fit If You're:

A parent who wants to better understand and support your child

Struggling with a specific behavior or challenge at home

Going through a family transition and unsure how to help your kids through it

Feeling burnt out, disconnected, or unsure if what you're doing is working

Looking for guidance that's practical, compassionate, and tailored to your family

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. Many parents come when they simply want to do better and that's more than enough.

Parent Consultation FAQs

Is parent consultation the same as family therapy?

Not quite. Parent consultation focuses specifically on you as a parent — your questions, your strategies, and your wellbeing. Family therapy involves the whole family in the room together.

Do you offer in-person parent sessions in Massachusetts?

Yes. All sessions are held in-person at my Concord, MA office.

Can I attend parent consultation while my child is also in therapy?

Absolutely — and it's often a great combination. With your permission, we can coordinate to make sure the support at home and in therapy is working together.

How often do we meet?

Most parents start with every 2–4 weeks. We'll find a cadence that works for what you're navigating.
